The apparently ludicrous name comes from Laurel and Hardy's dog and is a welcome addition to SE1. The ambience is homely and soothing in the evening and more buzzy and vibrant at lunchtime. There is an attractive atrium leading into a conservatory dining room and much of the art work on the walls is for sale. A lot of customers return time and time again which is a testament to the personal service.What's cooking?Wood roasted pequillo peppers with Norwegian prawns and melted Port Salut, Guinness cheesecake, blackened tuna and sweet potato mash.

You can use the bar and/or the entire restaurant for private functions, and we could see lots of different events here - birthdays, launches, company celebrations, and on and on. If you rent the entire venue, staff are happy to clear the floors for dancing and provide DJ or live music.The chef does a most amazing Indian buffet.
