About
The Stafford Hotel gives visitors an idyllic vision of London, with its beautifully-appointed rooms in three linked 18th Century townhouses, excellent service and unfussy atmosphere. But this restaurant is a sublime corner of the capital that even Londoners can enjoy. The room is as lovely as the hotel itself, with creamy white walls, plush carpets, white linen, magnificent silver and china. The food a blend of traditional French and modern British cuisine by their newly appointed Executive Chef, David Smith. David has worked at some of Britain's finest establishments, including The Goring, Danesfield House and The Ritz. Try seared Devon scallops with white bean and truffle broth, tartlet of roasted plum tomatoes and goats cheese, followed by tournedos of Angus beef, confit shallots, onion glaze and fleurie wine sauce. The wine cellar is something special too - over 350 years old and bursting with treasures. A jacket, but no tie dining room with a warm, comfortable ambience. A rare treat.
