A small chain of restaurants with branches in The Oval, Putney, Embankment and Battersea. The Lavender aims to provide good value food and wine in an inviting comfortable atmosphere. The decor is warm and informal with a rustic feel - mix and match tables and chairs give it a homely feel. The blackboard menu changes twice daily and includes a range of modern european and eclectic dishes.What's cooking? The menu changes daily, but might include dishes such as pan-fried black pudding with thyme potato rosti, caper dressed leaves and basil oil. Braised shoulder of lamb with borlotti cannelini bean cassoulet, buttered spinach and red wine jus. White chocolate and pistachio mousse with bitter chocolate shavings.
