This bright modern little Italian near Ravenscourt Park in west London is the sister restaurant to the well-loved Luna Rossa in Kilburn. The design features lots of pale wood, modern furniture and amusing frameless prints of people eating, cooking or engaged in some food-related activity. Talking of food, the menu lists largely Italian classics such as pollo milano (pan fried breast of chicken on breadcrumbs served with spaghetti and a fresh tomato sauce), spaghetti bolognese, napoletana pizza, and camberi alla brace (chargrilled or deep fried squid served with a mixed salad liberally squirted with lemon juice). Daily specials are good value – order a starter and a main course for £10.95.

This cosy Italian can host parties of up to 80 over its two floors: 50 on the ground floor, the rest downstairs. There are a further ten covers outside. All sorts of events are welcome, from birthdays, Christmas parties and get-togethers to hen and stag nights. What menus are served? A la carte (for a maximum of 20 guests) reduced a la carte, set, canapés and buffet. Open seven days a week.
