Luna Rossa's design brief was: typical Italian restaurant. To a large degree, that's what you get at this small, buzzy modern north London eaterie. Walls are two-tone – a homely Italian red wine colour on the bottom half; white above. Framed Italian newspapers decorate them, together with collages of amusing old black and white photos of people getting into trouble with spaghetti. The charismatic Arben heads an excellent team of Italian serving staff. A generous menu lists high quality fish, meat, pasta and vegetarian dishes, as well as fresh handmade pizzas. Delicious desserts are made in-house every day. Daily lunch and dinner specials. Good, wide-ranging all-Italian wine list. At night, candles are lit on the tables, encouraging an air of romance.

This modern North London Italian can host parties of up to 40 guests. Nice and cosy, in other words. All sorts of events are welcome, from birthdays, Christmas parties, get-togethers and hen and stag nights to informal business lunches and dinners. What menus are served? A la carte (for a maximum of 25 guests) reduced a la carte, set, canapés and buffet. Vegetarians are well catered for. There's a big all-Italian wine list to choose from. The beers are of course Italian, as is the mineral water. If, at your event, you'd prefer something different to the background music that always plays then you're welcome to organise your own entertainment. Smoking throughout. Open from midday to 11pm seven days a week.
