Elegant and sophisticated, Rowley’s Mayfair is the lady to Rowley’s Jermyn Street’s gentleman. Half way down Conduit Street, opposite Vivienne Westwood, it may be a little out of the way, but inside is a chic haven of pale wood flooring, wood-panelled walls, immaculately set tables and the most gorgeous, feminine, dark brown leather chairs. Worth £600 each, they’re as comfortable as they look. Fans of Rowley’s famous char-grilled entrecote steak with unlimited fries need not fear - the famous dish takes pride of place on the short menu here too. The majority of dishes are aimed firmly at lady diners – Dover sole, tiger prawns in herb butter, monkfish with new potatoes…Even the wine glasses were chosen with women in mind (they’re not buckets you get at Jermyn Street).

Rowley’s sophisticated space can accommodate up to 90 seated guests for business lunches, birthdays, Christmas parties and get-togethers. There are forty covers in the ground floor restaurant, and a further 50 in the airy, tall-ceilinged first floor dining room. The tables directly in front of the large windows overlooking Vivienne Westwood’s store are best - the natural light here is wonderfully enlivening. Round and small square tables can be arranged to your liking. At the back is a smart, square private dining room decorated with large square mirrors and a colourful painting. Anything up to 18 people can dine here. Menu options include a la carte, set and buffet. ISDN line and sound system available. Professional service. Open seven days a week.
