Fiore is flowering in St James's. This warm, modern Italian restaurant offers an expert welcome, fine contemporary cuisine and a very smart setting. The pale grey walls of the single large room are brightened by huge abstract oil paintings, bright red banquettes and white table linen. The menu is under the direction of Umberto Vezzoli and includes starter of asparagus with poached egg and parmesan biscuit, pasta course of linguine with lobster and Granny Smith apple, main course of panfried fillet of beef with lentils and tomatoes with Genovese pesto sauce, and dessert of Trevisan radicchio parfait with red fruit sauce. The weekly stravaganze may make you a regular.

This very smart, modern Italian restaurant would be just right for corporate, business, and private meals. One could imagine the somewhat-divided rear of the dining room to be capable of accommodating a largish group, but you may just like to gather a few close colleagues for a wonderful meal. The pale gray dining room may have an air of formality but the energy and enthusiasm of the waiting staff temper it to create a warm atmosphere. The menu includes starter of green bean salade with marinated pumpkin and pecorino cheese warm wild seabass finely sliced with fresh tomato and olives basil-flavoured, main of, dessert of lime mousse with sauce of extra virgin olive oil, vanilla-scented.

A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 persons or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £10 per person
