Homage is a wow, a restaurant in the grand style that pays, um, homage to the grands cafes of continental Europe a century ago. The bar is very cool and trendy, while the Grade II listed dining room is just gorgeous, with ceiling roses, Doric columns and also a very groovy new central bar. The client mix is very good, too, from your stylish great aunt to clubbers. The menu tips its hat to classic bistro dishes like starter of French onion soup with shin of beef and gruyere crouton, a nice line in omelettes, main course of whole Dover sole, and dessert of lime tart and seasonal fruits. The location is great for theatres, Somerset House, and Covent Garden.

A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 persons or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £10 per person
Please note that on Friday & Saturaday nights there is a time limit on all tables
