You'll feel as if you're in Italy when you step through the door of this Lavender Hill restaurant, with its warm greeting, traditional decor, and the fabulous smells wafting out from the kitchen. There's an air of welcome informality here, and you'll enjoy a pleasant, relaxed meal. There are daily specials, but the regular menu includes inventive Italian dishes like starter of clam and mussel soup with olive oil, parsley and chilli, and classic main courses like fillet steak with green peppercorn sauce. There's also a wood-burning oven and an irresistible choice of pizzas, including the portofino with porcini mushrooms and truffle cream.

Considering that Italians dine in extended family groups on a weekly basis, group dining is utterly normal for them. In that spirit, the staff at A'fenestalla are experts at making your own gathering or event comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant is traditional Italian, with a function room that seats up to 60, while the main room seats up to 50. A'fenestella would be a lot of fun for a birthday or anniversary or any kind of holiday celebration. Try starter of buffalo mozzarella with parma ham and rocket salad, first course of home made tagliatella with porcini, garlic and olive oil, main of seabass in 'Crazy Water'.
