The great and grand Jolly Hotel St Ermins contains The Crystal Room which has all the characteristics of Edwardian London, grandeur, decorative vitality, fine proportion, and a very evident reverence for tradition. The soaring, vaulted ceilings, the panelled walls, the original artwork, the hushed carpets all combine to make this a very comfortable and impressive dining room. The food, too, is part of the grand British tradition: the buffet carvery. This is the place to enjoy beautifully hung and roasted meats with all the accompaniments, then to either settle into a fireside seat in the bar with a glass of port, or set off to sightsee in royal, governmental, and ecclesiastical London, all on the doorstep.

Particularly right for grand occasions and celebrations, The Crystal Room is a superb example of one of the capital's great dining rooms from the time of Empire. The hugely traditional decor and menu would make this an excellent choice for corporate entertaining, anniversaries, and birthdays. But do not forget that all the private dining rooms and meeting rooms of the Jolly Hotel are available for private events, ranging from wedding receptions to well-catered-for corporate meetings. The menu of the Crystal Room is buffet carvery, while a great array of choices is on offer for private banquets or meals. Wines are service are very good and the location is excellent.

This restaurant requires a credit card to secure a reservation. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £10 per person.
