Locals have raved about The Food Room ever since it opened and now converts from all over London eagerly make their way there for excellent French cuisine in convivial surrounds. Brought to you by The French Table people, The Food Room is a charming, welcoming, relaxed and sophisticated restaurant that is serious about good food. The French/Mediterranean menu changes regularly. Recent dishes included starter of rillette of haddock with chorizo crisps, potato salad on bed of piperade and poached egg, main course of saddle of venison with pear and shallot tatin, turnip puree and venison sauce, and pudding of rice pudding with kiwi tuile and kiwi sorbet. Excellent value early bird menu.

Smart enough for big celebrations, relaxed enough for small events, The Food Room offers impressive warmth and professionalism in its smart, sophisticated dining room. The back area of the restaurant, seating up to 40, or the main area, seating up to 45, can be reserved for larger groups. Recent dishes include starter of traditional Mediterranean pistou soup, main course of roast plaice with pistachio crumbs, rigatoni stuffed with squid and ratatouille with ink sauce, and pudding of nutty crumble of apples and figs with roasted apple ice cream. The mostly-French staff have got the plot.

Please note that on Friday & Saturday nights this restaurant may have a 2 hour turnaround on its tables.
