Perfectly French in every detail, from the charming rustic decor to the menu to the professional service, La Trouvaille brings all that you love of French regional dining to the heart of Soho. The chairs and pews are borrowed from old churches, the walls are sunny and warm, the linen a perfect white backdrop for what's on your plate. The staff and dishes are as French as can be. Try starter of pan fried foie gras and smoked duck breast with Jesuralem artichoke, main course of Herdwick mutton fillet, lavender sauce and grilled courgettes with garlic and for pud a famous chocolate fondant (it’ll take you back to gual!). Recommended by the Michelin guide (1 fork) and for its unusual and creative wine list from south of France.

Rustic and relaxed, La Trouvaille is a wonderful place to gather friends or colleagues for classic French meals and truly intriguing wines. The ambience is friendly, with service that is properly organised. The lower-ground private room is cosy and seats up to 17, good for birthdays and anniversaries as well as wrap parties and much else. Try starter of courgette soup with mint and black pepper cappuccino, main course of roast breast of pigeon with passion fruit juice, and pud of marinated pears with black truffle honey and tobacco ice cream.
