If Ally McBeal lived in London, she and her friends would head over to the Octave after work for sophisticated ambience, superb cocktails, a scrumptious meal, and excellent jazz. The decor here is a smart combination of wooden floors and exposed brick with linen napery, leather seating, classroom pendant lamps, and rococo mirrors- original, amusing and very modern. The cocktails should not be ignored, especially the caiprinhas. The seasonally-changing menu includes starter of of tiger prawns with sweet chilli dipping sauce, main course of char-grilled venison served with honey roasted pears and blueberry jus.

This is a superb spot for a party, launch, or business do. With its cosmopolitan ambience and Covent Garden location, great style, interesting menu, and live jazz, it ticks all the boxes for a good night out. There isn't a private room, but groups can be accommodated in the main dining room, or hire the whole venue, seating up to 124, for a really memorable event. The modern Euro menu has Eastern inspiration, and features dishes like starter of tomato and Parmesan flavoured risotto balls, main course of cajun catfish on roast corn mash with tortilla and red wine syrup, and pudding of chocolate raspberry tart.


A credit card is required to reserve a table, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £10 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 24 hours or a no show
