What a location. A pavilion-like restaurant between Putney and Wandsworth bridges, Ghillies has corking river views. And you're not short of seats to enjoy them from either. The modern dining room extends out into a jetty, while the relaxed cocktail bar below spills out on to terrace tables from where you can watch the sun set as you breathe in the clean air. You can come for brunch, lunch and dinner, as long as you like marvellous European food, like roast duck breast on a bed of slow cooked cabbage with a chocolate, cranberry and crème fraiche jus. As well as seasonal a la carte menus, daily specials and a £12.50 working lunch option, there's also a bistro menu. Marvellous, really

It’s open plan design makes Ghillies on the River a perfect venue for parties, whether a cocktail do in the bar (max 100 standing), or a celebratory dinner in the restaurant (max 80 seated). If you’re planning a really big bash, hire the whole place – there’s plenty of room, inside and out. Think how impressed your guests will be by the view… Should you want to give them cocktails (£3.50 between 5 and 8pm weekdays), you’re in good hands - Ghillies’ list is champion. Wine, shooters, spirits, draught and bottles beers available too. A variety of menus are offered (from £15 a head), including gluten free and low salt. DJs and live music, or bring your own entertainment. Children welcome.

A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 8 persons or more, if there is availability - a deposit of £10 per will be taken. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will forfeit this deposit
