When you've got a winning formula, why change a thing? Bankside EC2 has the same bright, buzzy and sophisticated atmosphere as its SE1 sister. The open-plan dining area incorporate several intimate seating areas, including non-smoking options, and has a great sleek, modern feel to its decor. The head chef brings huge expertise and zeal to the modern British menu and can you taste it! Try starter of deep-fried brie with apple and cider compote, main of seared kingfish on potato and saffron broth, and pud of shaved pineapple with mint and lime sugar. This place feels like a party in progress.

With an atmosphere this fun, and smart and grownup, too, Bankside is an excellent venue for private parties and corporate events. The decor is modern and sophisticated in the minimalist style, and there are various private dining sections to make use of. The whole place seats 400, but there are also sections seating 50, 70, and 120. The groups menus feature dishes like starter of oak smoked salmon with sour cream and caper berries, main course of braised ham hock on pease pudding with grain mustard sauce, and pud of chocolate and amaretti cheesecake.

A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 persons or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £10 per person
