Hic! or The Entire History of Wine (abridged) is a hilarious romp through history, literature, and wine. Julian Curry weaves together quotes about wine from authors and historical figures ranging from Ancient Greece and Shakespeare to the modern day as he tells the history of wine in general, and of a certain bottle of 450-year-old wine in particular.

The performance will take place in the St James's Restaurant, fourth floor at Fortnum & Mason. A candlelit dinner will follow.

Each course will be matched by wines from a small, family-run winery, one of the rising stars of the beautiful Sonoma Valley in California. Deerfield Ranch Winery specialises in traditional, hand-crafted wines. A delicious balance of Old World style with high-quality ripe fruit, these are food-friendly wines. Everyone we know who tries them falls in love with them.

Tickets for the evening cost £150 each - or £125 per person if you book a table for eight. The ticket price includes the show, the dinner and wines, and a voucher for £25 redeemable if you place an order for Deerfield wines that evening.
