In the day, light streams through the bay windows, perfect for breakfast and lunch, something to savour in drizzly old London. The bar, with its wood panelling, checkerboard sofas and tinkling piano, is the perfect place to begin or end your evening. Madison's is the restaurant of the lovely Washington Mayfair Hotel, one of the last of the family-owned London hotels, and you'd be hard-pressed to match it for service and attention to detail. The restaurant itself is roomy and classically decorated, and adaptable for many themes. There are private rooms, ranging from the Fairfax, seating 20, to Winchester, seating 30, Upper Madison's, seating 40, and Richmond, seating 60, to the lower part of Madison's, seating up to 140. The menu is Thai/fusion, tasty and intriguing, and with all the amenities of a full-service hotel at your fingertips, your entire event should go without a hitch.
