If you're a devotee of architectural mags, you've probably seen photos of the sleek, elegant, yet hip and relaxed Zetter Restaurant & Rooms already. Now that the people are there, and there are some very watchable ones, like Keira Knightley, it's a finer place to hang out than most places we know. This is Clerkenwell style superbly done.
The Zetter Restaurant takes up most of the ground floor, with its bright, inviting windows that look out onto St Johns Square. The interior is a stunning blending of whitewashed modernity with big retro lampshades and dark brown bistro chairs.
Chef Megan Jones, of Moro, has produced a rustic Italian menu with real brio. Try starter of puntarelle, buffalo mozzarella and anchovy salad, main course of veal wrapped in Parma ham, and pud of chestnut honey semifreddo with blood orange and walnut biscuit. The excellent wine list favours Italy, listed by region. But do not forget the cocktail list - try the Zetter Martini, made with Italian strawberry grapes! The service is charming.

Not only will your guests or group be impressed by your hip-quotient in choosing Zetter for your celebration, launch, or event, they'll be delighted by the food, service and ambience as well.
Zetter is so hot it shot straight onto editors' short lists of cool hotels. The rustic Italian menu will please everyone's palate, and there are two private dining rooms to gather in, the New River Room, seating up to 50, and the very intimate River Fleet Room, seating up to 10. Of course, all the services of a five-star hotel are at your beck and call.
Try starter of spaghetti bottarga, main course of pan-fried mackerel with rosemary and garlic, and lentil and fennel salad, and pudding of espresso ice cream with chocolate and almond cake. Terrific wines and willing service.

Please note that this restaurant has only 2 sittings on Mon-Sat evenings. The first sitting is 7pm/7.30pm - 9pm/9.30pm and the second sitting is 9pm/9.30pm onwards. (2 hour turnover on diner reservations)
