For all who love Levant, a new amour awaits in the form of the charming, lovely Levantine. The low seating, brass tables, and magically traditional Lebanese artwork all echo Levant, as does the hint of incense in the air, rose petals, and candlelight. Shortlisted as one of the Evening Standard's most affordable restaurants of the year, and we can see why. This is a place for feasting and sharing of many flavours: we can recommend any of the mezze menus, not only for their absurd affordability, but also for the thirty or so wonderful little courses that are brought to you by cheerful, smiling waiting staff. The hammered brass platters make a fine setting for dishes like hommus beiruty, foul moudamas, stuffed vine leaves, octopus salad, spicy Armenian sausages, and on and on. There are terrific choices here for vegetarians, a head-turning cocktail list, and the best of Lebanese wine to complement it all. Hubble-bubbles and belly dancing are on offer, and on no account should you miss a trip to the fantastical loos.

Since Lebanese food already lends itself perfectly to groups and sharing and partaking of multitudes of flavours, it makes perfect sense to schedule your next party, celebration, launch, or thank-you do at Levantine, the little sister of the well-loved Levant. There is no private room as such, but groups up to thirty can be accommodated in the moody, sexy dining room, or by hiring the entire venue you can increase your guest list to 45 seated. The Lebanese food suits everyone, from slavering carnivores to genteel vegetarians (or is it the other way round?) with dishes like muhammara, halloumi salad, falafel, lamb or chicken or spicy crab kibbeh, mixed grills, salmon marinated in sumac and pomegranate and irresistible backlawa and Turkish delight. Hubble-bubbles and belly dancing are on offer.The service and wines are superb, so the ambience for your event will be just right.

A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 persons or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £15 per person
Levantine have a £1 cover charge per person for fresh bread, pickles, olives and vegetables.
