A smart, modern restaurant in a very useful part of Earls Court, Slice offers modern British cooking in attractive surroundings. There are favourites galore on the menu, like prawn cocktail, steak with deep-fried mushrooms and onion rings, and profiteroles, but you'll also find more exotic offerings, like nachos, chicken with ginger and lemongrass, and triple chocolate riot. It's a relaxing, convivial atmosphere, perfect for after work with mates. The short wine list is nicely international and reasonably priced, and the service is fleet and friendly.

Tucked into a touristic hotel in the nice part of Earls Court and very near South Kensington, Slice is a convenient spot for groups meals and meetings. The red and beige dining room is pleasant and easily reached on the ground floor, and small enough that one could take over the entire area without too much effort.
