Nathalie
About
Just like the baby daughter it is named after, Nathalie is a labour of l'amour. Run by husband and wife team Eric and Anne Chatroux, it is a simple but smart little place with the atmosphere of a small town house. The pairs pedigree, on the other hand, is a big deal. Eric has managed two Michelin-starred restaurants, while head chef Stephane Galibert hails from that distinguished Parisian eaterie, Joel Robuchon. In SW3, this translates into wonderful French cuisine matched by a hand-picked wine list. Tempting starters include a terrine of duck foie gras with fruit chutney, while amongst the most interesting mains is a veal burger with a Martini sauce. And then there's the mouth-watering desserts to attack... how about a warm choclate delice with an Earl Grey infused custard? Oui, oui, oui! A set three-course lunch costs just £14.50, and there's a daily organic dish and wine to choose from.
A room on the first floor of Nathalie was built especially for a spot of private dining. Groups of up to 22 can hire it, while a further 40-odd can comfortably fill the space at a reception. All sorts of menus are on offer, and all include three courses, wine and an aperitif, if not service. Exclusive hire would be ideal for parties of around 40 if you intend to sit down to eat, or 80 if you'd prefer a buffet or canapés.
