Bollywood meets Wembley at the brand new Bombay Dreams, which is all set to be as big a hit as the musical. Both a smart restaurant and a trendy club, it's already attracting excited crowds from all over the city. What about the food? Expect imaginative North Indian dishes such as pauv bhaji - mashed potatoes with mixed veg, cooked over a slow fire, served with lightlytoasted soft buns (from the vegetarians menu), rounded off perhaps with anexclusive dessert such as coco calypso and pineapple paradise. The Bollywood-themed cocktails are an adventure themselves, taking you from the spicy Darna Mana Hai to sweet Mother India. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are drink 'n' dance til late nights. The music? Bollywood and bangra tunesof course. There is a Karaoke evening every Tuesday and guests are treated to a Bollywood dance every Wednesday night. In addition, if Toptable members visit the restaurant on a Friday night they are entitled entry to the club for merely £5 after 22.30. A real bargain.
Bombay Dreams was designed with group dining in mind. A small hireable reception area leads into a restaurant and bar with a dancefloor in the middle. Around the dancefloor area are three exclusive areas - Maharaja, the VIP section and Garden, the largest section seating 50 and standing 65. There's also the Sheesha private room where, unusually, you can suck on a hukka while seated. A self-styled party venue, Bombay Dreams suits out-and-out fun events such as (dressed-up) stag, hen, wedding and Christmas parties of up to 250. Wouldn't mind a themed part for a change? No problem. Henna artists, tarot readers, belly dancers and even Bollywood DJs can be arranged to meet, nay surpass, your exotic expectations.
