Nova Bar and Grill has been named so after the bright, shiny white stars we see in the sky when we look up on a clear night, and shiny and new this restaurant certainly is. It's a showcase of smart new design, with leather seats, a cool ambience, ornamental lighting, and modern detailing, which is just right for our mood. The Italian-designed leather furniture is by Poltrona Frau, who also provides leather seating for Ferrari. We can dream. The menu is British with all the strengths of trad and mod. Try starter of wild mushroom tartlet, main course of Denham Estate Bangers and Mash (either venison or wild boar), and pud of Hokey Pokey sundae or some British cheeses. This restaurant is happily peopled by guests of the Sussex Hotel, in which is it sited, and local business folk and the young professional crowd who know a smart thing when they see it. The glass bar is the perfect place to gather before your meal, or to linger afterwards, as long as the company inspires. Let Zippy the bartender whip you up one of the fabulous cocktails that have won him many awards in competitions all over Europe.

The intimate GreenRoom seats up to 14 and the even more intimate Red Room accommodates only 5!All the resources of the hotel are at your service. The British menu includes dishes like starter of bubble and squeak soup, main course of crisp-skinned sea bass on ratte potatoes, smoked tomatoes, beans and redonions with light watercress cream, and pud of granny smith apple tart. As it's a hotel, this would also be a terrific choice for a working breakfast meeting to get a head start on the competition.
