About
Probably some of the biggest news on the London restaurant scene in recent years has been the upsurge of fabulousness in hotel dining rooms. Sure, you can still find sad old cabbage-and-potato-sog-smelling places with embalmed waitstaff, but more and more often the very most exciting new eateries have found their homes in the capital's hotels. Now Fratelli joins the fabulousranks with this new restaurant in Kensington. The modern decor and open,live-theatre kitchen give the space a certain up-to-the-minute vibe. The authentic, equally up-to-date Italian menu is just right for how we like to dine now. But first, begin your evening in style with a drink in the Nabuco bar, featuring terrific cocktails and an array of wines and champagnes by the glass. Then move into the lovely dining room and choose from suchdishes as prosciutto di Parma with fresh figs and red onion chutney to start, then main of pan-fried medallions of beef on dolcellatte potatoes with baby spinach and Chianti sauce, and finish with an amazing tiramisu cappuccino flavoure with Tia Maria and Baileys. The ingredients haveimpeccable sourcing and the Italian wine list includes small family vineyards you may have sampled on holiday.
The exciting, enticing Fratelli, with its sharp modern decor and delicious modern Italian food, invites you to throw the best bash or the most perfectly memorable gathering on-site at its home, the Marriott Kensington. Your guests will enjoy the first-class services of the events coordinatorswho will ensure you have everything you require, whether it be live music orPA and projection system. And they will certainly enjoy the authentic, modern Italian cuisine. Canapes and buffet menus are available, as are full sit-down meals and the service is excellent. Try starters like timbale of layered goats cheese and tomato with roasted pineneuts, rocket and pesto, interval course of champagne sorbet, main course of aromatic breast of duckin honey, soy and five-spice sauce with noodles, and pudding of Amaretto tiramisu in chocolate cup with stem ginger and white chocolate. There has been great care in the sourcing of the Italian wines. The private spaces range from the elegant Sorrento and Capri rooms, seating a maximum of 8, through the Verona Room seating 18, to the Siena Room seating 50, to the full bash, big-meeting Veneto room, seating up to 150.
