Take a really happy cow freely wandering the Argentinian pampas noshing on green grass and taking great lungfulls of clean air. Then age it properly, bring it to London, grill it over volcanic coals and put it on a plate (well, there is a rather important intermediate step there). Other dishes include oysters, or South American grilled scallop ceviche, or empanadas, main courses of fish and chicken dishes, gorgeous chips on the side, and great puddings like grape and white wine tart. The wine list is hugely full of Argentine labels as well as Gaucho's own range of wines. The dining room is smart-pampas, decked out in marble and stainless steel and cowhide, and full of business folk enjoying the informal atmosphere and buzzy ambience.

Bring your group to the dining room, hire the balcony to seat up to 50, the river terrace seating up to 150, or hire the entire venue, seating up to 120 or accommodating up to 170 standing. The menu of canapes and tapas isterrific, featuring chimichurri chicken pinchos, or potato tortilla with whisky sauce, or chorizo teriyaki. The wine list is very South American, which matches the cuisine perfectly, and there are many choices for the non-carnivores among your guests.
