About

Rhodes 24 is Gary Rhodes' new home on the 24th floor of Tower 42, the tallest building in the City of London, so we're already off to an impressive start. While waiting for your food to arrive feast your eyes on the magnificent panoramic view, which includes the Gherkin in all its great gherkiness. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure you don't have to miss a thing. And so the food; Gary has stuck to what he does best - British faves from braised oxtail cottage pie, fresh haddock with steamed potato, and cockle and leek casserole to jam roly poly with rich, thick custard and jam sauce.Gives the men (and women) in suits an excuse to feed their inner-public school-kid doesn't it? The feel is a bit more sophisticated boardroom than casual restaurant, so you're probably best off leaving the jeans at home.

Group bookings are available at both at Rhodes 24 and at Vertigo 42, Tower 42's champagne and seafood bar. The former seats groups of up to 75 for a sit-down set a la carte menu meal, and stands 120-150 for canapés. Hiring the high-tech restaurant means automatically hiring the bar with its30-strong cocktail list. Attached to the restaurant are eight private dining rooms - all directly overlooking St Paul's and the London Eye - which can be combined to suit the number in your group. Used more often than not for formal business breakfasts and lunches, the fully-equipped rooms can equallybe hired for private lunches, dinners and drinks receptions. Accordingly, you can choose from a range of menus. For a more fun group booking, take it to the ledge. Any of Vertigo 42's 16 glass ledges can be hired, fitting comfortably 12 people at most. The more private low-seated ledges are popular with romantic couples or cosy groups of four. Meanwhile the ledges with stools are taken up for light lunches by City colleagues, and by media professionals in the evening.

NB. Last orders are at 8.45pm.
Please note the maximum table size that can be booked in the main restaurant is for 8 people.
A credit card is required to reserve a table for 5 people or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £25 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 24 hours or a no show
