Scoffers sits invitingly just off the far end (i.e. the end furthest away from Clapham Junction station) of Battersea Rise. If the sprinkle of chairs on the pavement are filled, then inside further delights await. In the atmospheric conservatory grows a ficus tree, the highest branches of which form a lovely green canopy, almost making you feel as if you might be eating al fresco. Combined with twinkly lights, the effect is a certain romance not unnoticed by lovers. The frequently-changing menu is largely British, but expect international influences such as Thai spring rolls, mezze, bouillabaisse, or fajitas. Scoffers manages to be both relaxed but formal for business lunches, and romantic but professional at night.

Scoffers varied lay out particularly suits groups. There is a semi-private room option in the form of the front bar, which accommodates groups of ten to 14. If you'd prefer to be part of the main eating area, then you are very welcome to book a table for yourself and a maximum of 19 guests. Then again, you could always hog Scoffers and hire it exclusively. You can bring your own entertainment, while a PA system and projection screen can be brought in, should you need them.

This restaurant requires a credit card to secure a reservation for groups of 8 persons or more- this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £50.
