About
Brasserie St Quentin was one of the first brasseries in London serving le vrai cuisine bourgeois in very French style to great acclaim. Now re-acquired by its one of its original partners, Hugh O'Neill, the StQuentin is, dare we say it, better than ever. Yup, we dare. There's a fabulous French-ish eclectic menu created by the gifted hands of former Savoy chef Gary Durrant, served in a stylish and comfortably dressy brasserie dining room. The prices are hard to believe in this veryexpensive corner of the universe, two courses and a glass of wine for lessthan £20? Mon dieu. And the service is magnifique. Try gravadlax with potato rosti and honey and mustard sauce followed by poulet fermier dans son jus followed by lemon tart with orange yoghurt ice cream. The good wine list is reasonably priced, too.
For the vraie cuisine bourgeoise in very smart brasserie-style surroundings, St Quentin is top dog, and at very attractive prices, too. This was one of the very first brasseries in London, now re-acquired by one of its original partners, Hugh O'Neill, the St Quentin is, dare we say it, better than ever. This would be perfect for business lunches or dinners, or private parties. The downstairs private room has just as much savoir faire as the main dining room, and the staff are tremendously willing to create memorable meals. The menu is created and realised by the gifted formerSavoy sous-chef Gary Durrat. What's cooking?Frenchish eclecticity. Try tomato tart with rocket salad and parmesan, followed by navarin of lamb with root vegetables and topped with Seville orange in Champagne jelly.
