Nahm
About
Nahm is an elegant, discreet Thai restaurant under the able direction of top chef David Thompson who devotes himself to Royal Thai cooking and the modern recreation of antique Thai recipes. He's even earned Nahm the first ever Michelin star for a Thai restaurant in Europe. Bangkok street food this ain't. The restaurant is quietly luxurious, with gold pillars and marble floors, westernised Oriental in feel, tucked into the equally luxe Halkin Hotel. The dishes are sometimes challenging taste combinations, but come with an open mind and you will be convinced. What's cooking? High Thai. Try coconut and galangal soup with, not chicken, but Dover sole and wild mushrooms, or crispy fish salad with green mango, followed by mains of grilled baby chicken with sweet chilli sauce or green curry of guinea fowl. A meal to remember.
Please note: this restaurant does not have a designated non-smoking section, so they cannot guarantee a non-smoking table reservation, though they will make a note of any requests.
